My name is Larry Christopher, and I am the Wyrd Warrior. What is a wyrd warrior? “Wyrd” is an old German and Norse word connected to fate. It may or may not be connected etymologically to “word” but I am using it as a play on “words,” as I am a writer, editor, researcher and tutor.
You might ask why someone who is claiming to be a writer and proofreader would misspell a word as basic as “word” in the very title of his web site. Well, for one thing, the domain wordwarrior.com was not available, lol. But there’s a deeper reason. You see, if you go back to the old Norse tales, they saw the wyrds of people (like their fate or karma) as woven by three sisters, called Norns. Words, similarly, are woven out of our minds and form a great deal of our physical world.

If you aren’t familiar with this concept, say you have a website on the care and training of poodles. You would want certain words and terms, such as “training poodles,” “teaching poodles tricks” to be included in any article pointing to your website, so that people searching for that phrase would be pointed to your site. My articles are reasonable, and always original (many people today actually create articles from software, or simply rewrite other people’s articles).
